Strawflower is a tender perennial flower that is native to Australia but can be commonly found growing in the northeastern United States. When fully grown, this plant can grow 2-3 feet tall. It showcases 5-inch lance-shaped leaves in a grayish-green hue and 1-3 inch daisy-like flowers. The flowers have yellow center disks and are surrounded by bracts in various colors like orange, red, yellow, pink, or white. This plant can be grown in a container, attracts bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and ladybugs, tolerates drought, self-sows, and is used as a cut flower!
