Mexican Tea is a native annual/short-lived perennial herb commonly found growing in disturbed areas of cultivated fields and waste places and along roadsides and streams across the Southern United States. At maturity, this plant reaches a height of 4-5' and features round hairless stems, 4” green ovate leaves, and clusters of 1/4" greenish flowers. This plant can be grown in a container, it attracts predatory wasps, flies, and songbirds, is both edible and medicinal, is heat tolerant, and self-sows!
